We can help you and your dog in a number of ways, with training you and your dog, coaching, personal support and educating. Please see our About pages for further information.
Here at Totally Dog Network we like to keep things straight forward, for your sakes and ours! We offer a number of services, but apply standard fees across the set services to keep it simple. Please see our Services page for more information.
For Coaching and Training sessions we always start with a one hour assessment session, so we can get to know you and your dog, understand the problem and associated issues. It gives both parties an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the best way forward.
We will arrange the first appointment and begin the implementation of the coaching/training. The number of actual sessions will depend on our recommendations and your acceptance. We will definitely make recommendations as to the number of sessions that we feel would be beneficial, but will not pressure you to sign up for more.
To conclude we like to have a final consultation of progress and continuing positively.
Due to travel and the time involved. This is an additional service to my main role as trainer and coach. Helping people out with dog walks is purely a discretional extra.
Coaching helps and supports you in identifying, setting, working towards and ultimately achieving your goals in life. A Coach will help to come up with suitable plans and teach how to overcome obstacles for getting through grief, trauma, problems, stress, change etc and to adapt your way or living and thinking, how to come out the other side in one piece and how to move forwards for the better.
An initial consultation with the client will require a review of the situation and circumstances, then we will go on to look at ways of moving from where you are now to where you want to be positively. The client will be guided through the process and assisted in identifying answers to questions, ways around obstacles and how to reach their target.
I deliver my sessions in hourly blocks, but as to how many of these a client will need will depend on the individual. After the first session a client may decide Coaching is not for them or they may opt for regular sessions over several weeks or months. It can be taken slowly and adapted to meet the needs of the client. I will make recommendations as to how many I think would help, but never apply pressure to anyone to book what they are not comfortable with.
Opening up to a Coach can save you from having to depend on those closer to you who may have their own problems to deal with. Opening up to a trained specialist and independent ear can also help if you are embarrassed to be seeking support, reduce the feeling of loneliness and understand that everything you are experiencing is normal. You can learn the appropriate techniques for dealing with different issues, getting around problems and ultimately make it to where you want to be.
Coaching is not the same as counselling. Please do not confuse the two, I provide coaching and not counselling.
Coaching helps and supports you in identifying, setting, working towards and ultimately achieving your goals in life. As a Coach I will help you to come up with suitable plans for getting through obstacles and reaching the end goal. The role of a Coach is to concentrate on the present and moving forward. A Coach will never give you the answers or tell you what to do, but will encourage the answers from you and help you to establish the best path to follow.
Counselling helps you recognise and solve your problems. A Counsellor will look at your past and your present. They will give advice, make suggestions and tell you what to do and how to deal with issues affecting you.
Counselling endeavours to pursue the fundamental dynamics of individuals. Counsellors and Coaches both ask questions, however, Counsellors generally steer clear of tackling tasks and performance that a Coach will deal with. The goal for Counselling is to promote self-understanding and self-acceptance. The goal of a Coach is to help people break negative habits and beliefs, learn to behave more positively, and how to work towards achieving a happy conclusion.
This really is not a problem. Out of traditional working hours appointments are available. After an initial assessment we can use email and/or text to continue the and you can partake at your own convenience. This will also give you extra time to think about and consider your answers, without pressure of time restraints.
Yes of course, we can take things at your own pace, make sure you are comfortable and work on building a rapport before progressing too far.
Yes you can. Additional sessions will probably be required, but they are designed to meet the needs of the client and can be adapted as necessary.

I am not only qualified on paper, but have experienced a lot of what my clients have been through or are going through over the years so can confidently say that I am also qualified from life. Being approachable and friendly I can be a good back bone to help you progress. I do not use technical jargon, I do not sugar coat things, I say it as it is and use honesty to bring the best out of you. If I am unable to help you I will say so and help you to find the best person that can.
We enter into this as a team and you will not be alone. I am also a sounding board, provide guidance, teach you how to overcome obstacles and will work with you to accomplish your goals.
